Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore
The Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore has supported many WYFCS programs throughout the years with its diverse funding. Most recently, their Workforce Development grant provided funds to help train our therapy interns in providing a much needed service to our area.
Worcester County’s Initiative to Preserve Families
Worcester County Local Management Board (LMB), Worcester County’s Initiative To Preserve Families, has been a central partner in supporting our agency programs and serving families in the community. They currently provide funding for our Worcester Connects mentoring program and our Worcester Navigation resource linkage program, helping children and families “shine.”
Town of Ocean City
The Town of Ocean City has been a consistent support for many years. It provides funding that helps our mental health and youth programs, so that we can continue to offer high quality services at little or no cost!
United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore
The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore is one of our largest supporters for funding WYFCS programs, specifically our Mental Health Counseling program. Funds go toward costs associated with the clinical program and specifically toward clients who have difficulty affording therapy costs.
Worcester County Commissioners
The Worcester County Commissioners have been a wonderful partner for many years. Their support of our mission is greatly appreciated, as funds assist with operational costs that help us help the community.
Town of Berlin
The Town of Berlin has been an amazing partner of WYFCS for many years. It has sponsored our Youth Programs, specifically the Berlin Youth Club, which has offered a free summer camp and enrichment activities to children in Berlin.
Donnie Williams Foundation
The Donny Williams Foundation provided funds to our Worcester Connects Mentor Program so that we could provide more staffing and activities for our participants. We offer 1:1 mentoring, host monthly mentor groups, and have over 40 students participating in the program.
Jesse Klump Foundation
The Jesse Klump Foundation has been an active partner in helping spread suicide awareness in the community. They have also provided funding for our therapists to attend trainings which have furthered their ability to treat mental health issues and specifically suicide.
Carefirst
Carefirst provided generous funding to help us expand our behavioral health workforce and increase access to mental health care in our community. We have been able to actively recruit clinicians, offering paid trainings and an on-site wellness room. We also started a clinical internship program, and currently have 2 students working with us. A former student just successfully graduated and became licensed, and we will retain her as a therapist!
Victims of Crime Act/Governor’s Office
The Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) has provides funding so that victims of crime do not have to pay for mental health counseling. For over 7 years this has allowed us to serve those individuals and help them recover from their traumas without worrying about therapy costs.
