Diakonia: Food Pantry/SNAP Assistance. The food pantry is available 7 days a week. Please bring Picture ID or proof of residency in Worcester County. Non Worcester County Residents will receive information about other food pantries in your area. For Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps low income families buy food needed for good health. Staff are trained to assist anyone in the tri-county area (Somerset, Wicomico & Worcester counties) in applying for SNAP. Contact Susan Blaney

The Samaritan Shelter offers a food bank that is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Individuals must bring proof of residency and can only attend once per month. In addition to the food bank, hot nutritional lunches are served on Wednesdays & Fridays from 11:00am to 12:30pm for anyone in need and can be eaten in their dining room or boxed up and taken out.
