Diakonia: Not Just A Bed. Individuals or families work with on-site case managers to develop a plan to improve their lives and address issues contributing to housing insecurity. Needs addressed include securing employment, health & financial education, obtaining medical insurance coverage, home management and mental and physical health assessment and support. Homeless Prevention /Veterans Services helps people at risk of becoming homeless remain in their homes or find other safe, affordable housing. Ocean City Cold Weather Shelter when temperatures are below 25 St. Peter’s Lutheran Church offers a cold weather shelter for men, women, and families in Worcester county.
