Building Bridges to Stable Families Program: Building Bridges to Stable Families Program is a voluntary service to Worcester County Residents. BBP services provide support to children of Worcester County who have an incarcerated parent or guardian. Services are provided to the incarcerated parent, children and the entire family unit as appropriate. BBP’s goal is to facilitate the development of an incarcerated individual’s independent living and social skills, including the ability to make decisions regarding: self-care, management of illness, life, work, and community participation and promote the use of community resources to integrate the individual into the community. Services may be provided in an on site facility/jail or in a setting most conducive to promoting participation of the individual in community life. This may include the individuals home, job site, educational setting, community resources, detention center, etc. Services for the family may include linkage to counseling services for the child and/or family as well as other supportive services.
